Amrita is an expression of Dr. Kapoor’s affection, she feels ! and responsibility she wants to shoulder ! for children born with intellectual disabilities. She founded it in the year 2009 with an intention to provide rehabilitation services to children with special needs.

 

An Introduction of Amrita

Parenthood is a feeling of achievement and parenting is a dedicated job. Every parent wants to have a mentally and physically healthy child but at times children are born with high risk conditions due to poor maternal health during pregnancy and difficult deliveries with subsequent infections during delivery. Further to these disorders due to heredity might lead to various conditions where children have intellectual disabilities, for example children with Sub-Average Intelligence, Cerebral Palsy, Seizure Disorder, Autism, Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder or Down Syndrome etc. AMRITA-School for Special Children is not just another Special school. It is a realization of a long-cherished dream for human service. Amrita is dedicated to cater the needs of children with disabilities

Our Objectives at Amrita
